Mentoring to Learn & Grow

The role of a mentor has been defined as a good model who cares. Mentoring is the fastest way to learn something new, to see new possibilities and find a strategy for success and growth, regardless of time or position in life.

I offer the service as a mentor in the areas of leadership, education and personal growth.

Mentoring for a manager can successfully be combined with the mentor oriented team programme Building a Great Team.

Personal growth is a component in everything I do. Where mental support is needed for development to happen, there is often an element of personal growth required. As a mentor I most often work with people having a special project or wanting to achieve a certain personal goal.

By nature, all mentoring is tailored to the individual situation. In all my mentoring, however, there are some general principles:

• The purpose is to achieve a goal – professional or personal.
• The basic strategy is to use personal strengths and, only if necessary, handle weaknesses.
• To widen the perspective in order to find hidden possibilities.
• To identify the positive and negative consequences of different possible routes.
• To find an action plan leading to success and personal growth on the chosen path.
• To integrate what is learnt for future challenges.
